Vitamin E


Vitamin E is very important for a variety of functions in the body. A healthy heart needs plenty of vitamin E as it has been shown to actually prevent heart disease. Vitamin E may also help to prevent heart disease and worse.

Vitamin E is also essential in protecting cell membranes against harmful free radicals that are present in the body. Without vitamin E, among others, cell membranes would be damaged and this can lead to serious health problems, including cancer. The reason why vitamin E is so effective against free radicals is that the fat soluble so it can be embedded in cell membranes. Vitamin E is essential for the immune system.
